Timisoara Saracens SCM UVT strengthens with 3 important transfers

It's time for change and reinforcement in the senior team. After the club recently signed with coach Matt Williams for head coach, Timisoara Saracens SCM UVT strengthens with another 3 important transfers. Resounding names internationaly, well-known players who have already played in Romania, experienced players, this has sought the club to bring in the summer transfers of 2017. The southern hemisphere gives again Timisoara valuable players Who can hardly wait to see them in the field. We will briefly outline them below and wish them success in the our club colors.



 

  1. William HELU – Centre/Wing, age 31, New Zealand, player in the Tonga rugby national team
  • 2015-2017: Edinburgh Rugby (Pro 12)
  • 2013-2015: London Wasps (Aviva Premiership)
  • 2011-2012: Bristol Rugby (RFU Championship)
  • 2010-2011: Rugby Roma  Olimpic  - avându-l antrenor pe Danie de Villiers

He has 23 selections in the Tonga National rugby team, participating in the 2011 and 2015 Rugby World Championships. For the strong London Wasps team he has cumulated 28 selections and 70 points. In Edinburgh he had 15 selections and 20 points scored.

 

  1. Luke SAMOA – fullback, flyhalf, age 29, Auckland, New Zealand, player in the National Rugby Team of Romania
  • 2014 - 2017: CSM Știința Baia Mare
  • 2014 – 2015: selected in Lupii București for Challenge Cup 2014/15
  • 2011 - 2013: Brisbane Broncos Rugby League Club (Intrust Super Cup)
  • 2009 - 2010: Norths Brisbane Rugby Club (Brisbane Premier Grade Rugby)

One of the most headlined rugby players currently evolving in Romania, Luke Samoa is the second marker in the Romanian SuperLiga CEC Bank, the 2016/2017 season. He was part of the "Lupii Bucureşti" selection team and debuted for the Romanian rugby national team in the match against Germany in February 2017. Samoa was also part of the Romanian National Team during the test match stage against Japan (21-33) and Canada (25-9), playing against Brazil (56-5), match in which he managed to transform 7 tries.

An efficient runner and marker, is known for side-to-side changes and acceleration, being a tactical player for opening space for developing the strategy of the game.

  • 2012-2013: Mountie’s rugby league club (NSW cup, Bundaberg cup)
  • 2010-2011: Melbourne storm rugby league club (Toyota cup/premier league)

Strong player in the center but one who, due to its versatility, can also play other position. For CSM Știința Baia Mare he has played in all 4 finals since 2015 until now.
