At the press conference prior to the clash against CS Universitatea Cluj, Head Coach Sosene Anesi stated:

“It’s the start of the championship, a whole different competition, a whole different experience. I am excited to host Universitatea Cluj this Saturday and I hope the boys are ready and excited to perform and to have a good start of the competition. It will be another opportunity for us to apply what we’ve corrected from last week and to prepare well for the upcoming matches as well. This weekend we will try different combinations from last week, we’ll see again on the pitch some of the players recovering from light injuries or returning after a week off and I hope they will put in a good performance on Saturday against Cluj.”

“I consider this competition to be the main event, our main goal being to win the championship. We have to be very focused from the very kickoff. The first matches we played allowed us to make all the fine tuning we had to make and now we have to show our level and we have to kickoff the championship on a high, because that is the only way we can get to were we’re supposed to be. It will be mainly a battle with ourselves, because in the past years we have shown that we can win against the other teams, but because we didn’t fulfill any of our objectives last season, now we will have to challenge ourselves to prove that we still have a say and that we are able to bring the title back to Timisoara.” (Eugen Căpățînă, Club Captain)

At the end of the press conference, General Manager Attila Brosovszki announced that on Sunday, September 1st 2019, from 10:30 am, in The Liberty Square, the team will take part at the “Sport 21” event organized by the Association Timisoara Cultural Capital 2021.

The event will start with a “Body Balance” class, organized by Smartfit Studio, Timisoara Saracens’ Partners, and from 11:00, the players will mingle and interact with the passers by.

The first round of the 2019/20 SuperLiga CEC Bank against CS Universitatea Cluj is scheduled for Saturday, August 31st 2019, on Dan Paltinisanu Stadium, kicking off at 10:30 am.
